Established in November 2009 by local entrepreneur Rob Vivian, North Somerset based Pure Comms is setting a new pace in the telecoms industry and has established itself as a fast-growing business and a jobs creator.
Rob previously worked in London for Kendrick James – which is a procurement consultancy. It was during this time that he spotted a gap in the market and decided to launch Pure Comms, a telecoms provider that doesn’t operate a win contracts at any cost mentality, but offers a dedicated service around bespoke solutions for their customers.
They have had a meteoric rise and year on year growth since their formation – winning a wealth of clients such as BWOC, Redrock, Opus, Computerworld, RSG and Bristol Airport along the way.
North Somerset Enterprise Agency support
With big plans for the future and a culture of exceeding growth figures, Rob has been vocal about the support he has been given by The North Somerset Enterprise Agency. The organisation has helped to contribute to the overwhelming success the company has achieved.
“When I started Pure Comms I met with business advisor Terry Gilbert who looked though the business plan and gave me some very useful advice. The agency also runs a number of courses which are very helpful from a business perspective and very affordable.
“For example I attended a book keeping course which was very helpful. They provide a voice for businesses and Chief Executive Angela Hicks has introduced me to a number of very useful contacts in the local area and has been very vocal in her support of us.”
Pure Comms is all set to deliver its five-year plan and then some; thanks to a very healthy growth forecast coming into the next year. The astute financial performance has run simultaneously to sustained employment opportunities.
After starting with just Rob, Pure Comms now employ seven members of staff – three of which have been appointed in 2012 alone.
In an uncertain employment climate this is a major achievement that puts Pure Comms in an elite band of companies creating real career jobs at entry, intermediate and senior levels.
Another result of Pure Comms’ financial performance resulted in them becoming one of the few companies in North Somerset to be accepted onto Business West’s high-growth mentoring scheme.
“It is a scheme that selects businesses that have the potential to turnover more than one-million pounds in their fourth year. To be selected speaks volumes for the credibility of our business model and communicates our success clearly.”
Pure Comms is one of only forty providers in the UK that uses the technology they do, to integrate with BT and have invested heavily in innovation to offer customers a 24-hour, state-of-the-art service that is bespoke to the end user and is key to underpinning success at the company.
Consistently investing in innovation, they can offer their customers a fully integrated CRM system which allows them to log on via the Pure Comms website and receive real time information on anything related to their telephone account.
