Your small business meets sustainability @ Online event
Nov 4 @ 10:00 – 12:00

As business owners, we constantly seek out ways to run a better business: being more efficient and avoiding waste, being a good employer, making a difference in our communities, and wanting to be recognised as a good brand. We want our business to reflect our values and have a successful future.

Jon Gibbins has spent the last 18 months integrating sustainability into his small digital company and has written a series of short webinars to help others in North Somerset do the same. Pairing Jon’s training experience with his passion for addressing the climate emergency, the webinars will discuss the themes of sustainability, ethical finance and green technology, and include open discussion, toolkit suggestions, helpful advice and achievable changes you can start using today. Additional follow-up support is available to participants to help guide you in applying sustainability principles to your business and measure the impact this has on your business activities.

This workshop is provided free to participants with funding secured from Quartet Community Foundation’s Megawatt Community Energy Fund, funded by Bristol Energy Cooperative and Low Carbon Gordano. It forms part of North Somerset Council’s, working in partnership with the West of England Combined Authority, ‘universal business support’ project providing support for start-ups, entrepreneurs and small businesses and is delivered by North Somerset Enterprise Agency.

Nov 10 @ 10:00 – 12:00

As business owners how can we ensure our technology is sustainable? Do we really take into consideration efficiencies, life cycle assessment, waste minimisation, supply chain and procurement and could we do more to make our business more sustainable? If we want our business to reflect our values and have a successful future then these are just some of the things we should be considering.
